Musk's statement came after the Wall Street Journal reported that Twitter has decided to pay whistleblowers $7 million to settle a dispute.
Elon Musk's lawyers said in a letter to the social media company, 'Twitter did not obtain their consent before paying $7.75 million to Peter Jatko (whistleblower) and his lawyers. This violated the merger agreement. It was prohibited for Twitter to do so during the negotiations with Musk.
